We start by defining a key concept for a project. Then we collaborate on a visual portrayal through art integrated into a particular space. These visual interpretations range from historic preservation to contemporary imagery. The result is a custom solution that is both ornamental and functional.
Our History
RDG Objects is the multi-disciplinary collaboration of RDG Planning & Design and RDG Dahlquist Art Studio in Des Moines, IA.
RDG Dahlquist Art Studio (formerly Dahlquist Clayworks) joined RDG in June of 2004. The merger was a logical move for the two firms that had successfully partnered on a variety of projects for many years prior.
RDG had already grown the firm’s focus markets to include Sports, K-12 Education, Health Care, Colleges, Restoration, Interiors, Parks & Recreation, Urban Design, Multi-Media, Lighting, Engineering, Government, and Sustainable Design. The addition of Art, through the merger with Dahlquist Clayworks, added a unique dimension and creative spark to the firm's comprehensive design services.
The addition of RDG Dahlquist Art Studio has given RDG the unique ability to integrate artwork, with new materials and techniques, into every level of project development from conceptualization to fabrication to installation.
