Louis Sullivan Urns
These functional and decorative urns are replicas of those designed by architect Louis Sullivan in 1913 for the Adams Land & Loan in Algona, IA. RDG Dahlquist Art Studio was commissioned to fabricate them in glazed terra-cotta for the restoration of the building.
You can own one or more of these beautiful garden urns, patterned after the only ornamented exterior urns known in the history of Sullivan’s work. Cast in GFRC (glass-fiber reinforced concrete), this urn is available in three different sizes and colors.
Imagine the possibilities for using this decorative planter in a wide variety of private and public spaces. Whether you use one as a focal point in a garden or many to enhance a streetscape, these urns are a testament to the phrase made famous by Sullivan: "form ever follows function".
